Florida Building Commission Appointments
JAY CARLSON, ROBERT HAMBERGER, JIM BATTS, DREW SMITH AND BRIAN LANGILLE have
been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Building Commission. Carlson,
of Port Charlotte, is president of Carlson and Soforth. Hamberger, of Pompano Beach, is chief
building official for the Broward County School Board. Batts, of Jacksonville Beach, is president
of The Batts Company. Smith, of Parrish, is chief operating officer of Two Trails, Inc. Langille, of
Palm Harbor, is an assistant director for the city of Clearwater.
Construction Licensing Board Appointments
ROBERT MAPHIS, SCOTT THOMASON, DONALD CESARONE, EDWARD MCCULLERS AND
BRIAN DONOVAN have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Construction
Industry Licensing Board. Maphis, of Windermere, is vice president and chief operating officer
of The Collage Companies. Thomason, of Fort White, is owner of HomePro Plus. Cesarone, of
Sunrise, is vice president of the commercial division for Van Kirk and Sons, Inc. McCullers, of
Estero, is owner of McCullers Construction Services. Donovan, of Crystal River, is a teacher for
the Citrus County schools.
