President ’ s Message
I hope everyone is doing well and settling into a good post-Holiday work rhythm . Moreover , I hope I am able to say “ Hello ” to you personally in Tallahassee at our Legislative Days event Feb . 7-8 . With session starting earlier this year , we need to keep our foot on the gas to pursue the legislation that impacts our industry . Don ’ t hesitate to pick up the phone , call your representative and let your voice be heard ! I know you have heard this from me before , but this is why we serve .
It is my goal in the next month to schedule opportunities during the year to visit the great Chapters that comprise NUCA of Florida . I will be working with Chapter Executive Directors and Kari Hebrank to find the best time to talk to the members and hear what ’ s going on locally and impacting each individually . I look forward to meeting the people that we are here to serve and learn how we can improve our industry association . Additionally , I hope we can get some continued movement in our strategic planning to keep the process moving forward . A rolling stone …
Lastly , I wanted to touch on some upcoming events and items . On March 10th-12th NUCA of Florida is hosting its 22nd Annual Andrew Scott Johnson Memorial Scholarship Foundation Bass Tournament in Okeechobee . This is a great event that has raised scholarship money of more than $ 600,000 since inception , and $ 50,500 was awarded last year ! All of the scholarship money flowing to members of our industry and their families . I hope to see you all at the tournament as it ’ s a great networking and fun event . Similarly , NUCA National has opened their scholarships for 2022 , just another great opportunity for NUCA members and their families . Please make sure all your companies and members know ! Thank you to all our members and supporters . I am proud of the great people I work with at NUCA of Florida and blessed for the great members we serve . Thank You Florida !
Clark Cryer , President NUCA of Florida
