President’s Message

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
everyone! I hope you and your families
are all healthy and well and enjoying this
Holiday Season! Thank you to all our
members and sponsors! Without you, this
great association would not be here.
As we all know, this time of year can be
crazy. Let’s face it, work never goes away.
There is always something that needs to
be done, and when you add the stress of
the Christmas season to the mix, it can
almost be unbearable. Just remember
to take a breath and relax a little. Enjoy
the time with family and friends, they may
not always be around. Take some time
to reflect on this past year. The good and
the bad. What went right or wrong? What
can you do to be better next year? There
is always room for improvement. I know
this all may sound a little preachy, but it’s
a message that I have to remind myself
about almost constantly, and it can’t hurt to
remind you too!
Our legislators are wrapping up committee
meetings and getting ready for the session
that starts in early January. I know that
Kari, Scott, and the rest of our friends at
Carlton Fields are working hard to make
sure that NUCA of Floridas voice is heard.
We need to support them in these efforts
by signing up for our Legislative Days that
will be held on February 17th and 18th,
and by contributing to our advocacy funds.
You can contribute through the Bidding for
Benjamins Program or by simply making a
donation. Check out the NUCA of Florida
website for more info. Also, don’t forget
to sign up for the ASJM Bass Fishing
Tournament that takes place on March 12th
through the 14th. Some of the funds raised
at this tournament go directly towards
the NUCA of Florida scholarships that are
presented at our yearly conference. This
one fills up quick and is a great time, so
don’t miss out!
I hope you all have a safe and happy
Christmas/Holiday season! Get rested and
ready to go for what looks to be another
big year!
