On a beautiful November Friday, NUCA of Florida members gathered at Mission Inn to play golf on the 100-year old historic golf course El Campeon. Thirty-two golfers turned out on the chilly, sunny morning to hit the links and enjoy a challenging round of golf to benefit NUCA of Florida’s Political Action Committee (PAC). The participants enjoyed a reception Thursday evening with some of the NUCA of Florida Board of Directors and committee members and then made their way to the Hospitality Suite for hot pizza, chips and dip, an open bar and a competitive game of billiards, or just a chance to network with industry colleagues. President Tom Woodward and lobbyist Kari Hebrank teamed up in a game of billiards against sharpshooters Rick Pfaffemdorf, Advanced Drainage Systems and KC Coulhart, ET McKenzie. After playing 18-holes, the participants enjoyed an Americana Picnic buffet, complete with fried chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, watermelon, apple pie and cherry pie. Awards were given to the first-place, second-place and third-place teams, as well as the Longest Drive, Longest Putt and Closest-to-the-Pin. NUCA of Florida thanks the following sponsors for their support of this important event to support our PAC. 16 DITCHMEN • DECEMBER 2016
