Florida/Andrew Scott Johnson Memorial Bass Tournament Scholarship Winners We are pleased to announce the winners of the NUCA of Florida/Andrew Scott Johnson Memorial Bass Tournament scholarship awards, totaling $41,000. We received 24 applications and the committee faced the challenging task of choosing “stand-outs” from the exemplary applications and accompanying thoughtprovoking essays designed to answer the question “With rising student debt for college graduates amidst a growing demand for construction trade workers, what measures could be taken to encourage young people to explore a career in the construction field?” We are grateful to our angler participants and generous sponsors of the bass fishing tournament that was held in March for supporting this worthy cause, many year-after-year since its inception in 2001 to memorialize Vanderbilt College student Andy Scott Johnson, son of Scott Johnson, Johnson Davis, who was tragically killed in an automobile accident at the young age of nineteen.
