President’s Message
President Mike Kivlin,

Hey everyone! I hope you and your families are all doing well. Thank you to all our
members and sponsors! Without you, this great association would not be here.
Wow. What a ride we’re on, huh? It was only a month ago that I last wrote you, but it feels
like its been so much longer than that. I hope everyone is adjusting to their current normal
well. I know it hasn’t been easy for me and I haven’t had it that bad. Home schooling my
8-year-old daughter has been a fun adventure. Fortunately, all my loved ones are healthy,
and my crews are still working. I can’t ask for more than that.
The 2020 legislative session is finally over with, and I’m sure Kari and Scott will tell you that
it was quite an interesting finish. We had a few wins and a few head scratchers, but Kari
and Scott have continued to work extremely hard, fighting for the issues that are important
to NUCA of FL. Be sure to thank them when you see them at our Annual Conference in
July!
As I’m sure you all know, this is an election year. We need to continue to support the
politicians that support the causes of NUCA of Florida. Our Bidding for Benjamins program
allows you to do just that. Every job you get, donate $100 to the advocacy fund. It’s that
simple. Help keep NUCA of Florida on their radar with a donation today!
Hopefully we will all be able to see each other soon. I know I can’t wait. In the meantime,
everybody stay safe and socially distant.
