DELAYS SILICA RULE
ENFORCEMENT
Due to the advocacy efforts of NUCA, as part of the Construction Industry
Safety Coalition (CISC), enforcement of the construction standard, originally
slated to begin on June 23, 2017, has been delayed 90 days to September
23, 2017. Many questions remain about the overall feasibility of the standard,
and the CISC has requested that OSHA delay enforcement for the construc-
tion industry for a full year. Read OSHA's news release here.
