From the President
As we reflect on 2024 , it is with great pride that we look back on the tremendous strides we ' ve made together . Through our collective efforts , we were able to raise $ 93,500 in advocacy funding during the 2023-24 election cycle , ensuring that our voice continues to be heard in the halls of power . Additionally , we proudly awarded $ 66,500 in scholarships to deserving students , supporting the next generation of leaders in our industry . These accomplishments demonstrate the unwavering commitment of our members to not only shaping the future of our profession but also investing in the communities we serve .
Looking ahead , we have an exciting year ahead , filled with opportunities for growth , networking , and advocacy . Be sure to mark your calendars for our upcoming Legislative Days in Tallahassee , March 31 - April 2 , where we will engage directly with lawmakers to advocate for our industry . The Bass Tournament , set for May 1-2 , promises to be a thrilling event , while the Annual Conference from July 16- 20 in Key Largo offers an ideal setting for professional development and camaraderie . Finally , we look forward to the President ’ s Cup , September 19-20 at Long Boat Key , a prestigious event to celebrate our achievements and foster connections within the industry .
On behalf of NUCA of Florida Board of Directors , I would like to extend warm holiday greetings to all of our members .
