ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES
Mansfield ISD offers 28 college-level advanced placement ( AP ) courses for high school students . Students who receive a qualifying score on an AP exam can earn college credit hours before graduation .
AP tests taken by MISD Students – 6,163 AP Passing Scores ( 3 or Higher ) – 44 %
In 2023 , more than 2,700 passing AP exam scores of three or higher were earned by MISD students . Students can get a jumpstart in advanced placement courses by taking one of MISD ’ s advanced courses as early as the fifth grade . In addition , MISD ’ s gifted and talent program has more than 2,500 students in it .
DUAL CREDIT & SCHOLARSHIPS
College credit can also be earned through our dual credit partnership with the Tarrant County College District . New in 2023 , all Mansfield ISD students who are enrolled in TCC ’ s dual credit courses for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters won ’ t pay for tuition , saving students up to $ 115 per course .
Additionally , the district has strong partnerships with the University of Texas at Arlington , the University of North Texas , Texas Wesleyan University and Prairie View A & M University that gives eligible MISD students automatic admission and scholarships .

Through the district ’ s dual credit program , high school students who meet specific criteria may take up to three college courses during a regular school term . The dual credit program allows students to begin earning college credit as early as tenth grade .
