Mansfield ISD ’ s strategic plan , Vision 2030 , is an extension of Vision 2020 with the inclusion of social-emotional learning ( SEL ) initiatives and future ready goals . GUIDING STATEMENTS
1 . Students will read on level or higher by the beginning of the third grade and will remain on level or higher as an MISD student .
2 . Students will demonstrate mastery of Algebra II by the end of 11th grade . 3 . Students will graduate life ready . 4 . Students will graduate college and / or career ready .
America ’ s high schools have a profound responsibility to ensure that our nation ’ s 14 million high school students are college ready , career ready and life ready . Standardized test scores , traditionally used as the primary readiness indicator , do not always provide an accurate representation of our students ’ potential .
Like the global economy , today ’ s students are driven by ideas and innovations . A single test score does not tell the whole story .
