By the time Mansfield ISD students graduate high school , they are college , career and life ready . The number of college credit hours , certification and scholarship dollars earned are just a few factors that show how the district is preparing students for the next stage of life .
ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES
Mansfield ISD offers 34 college-level advanced placement ( AP ) courses for high school students . Students who receive a qualifying score on an AP exam can earn college credit hours before graduation .
In 2021 , MISD students received a passing score of three or higher on a total of 2,103 AP exams . Students can get a jumpstart in advanced placement courses by taking one of MISD ’ s 12 advanced courses in as early as the fifth grade . In addition , MISD ’ s gifted and talent program has more than 2,800 students in it .

College credit can also be earned through our dual credit partnership with the Tarrant County College District . The district has strong partnerships with the University of Texas at Arlington , the University of North Texas , Texas Wesleyan University and Prairie View A & M University that gives eligible MISD students automatic admission and scholarships .
