When I started planning the November issue a few weeks ago,
November seemed so far away. I mean November is the month of
Thanksgiving and after Thanksgiving it is almost Christmas. And that
was when it hit me, I am halfway through my first semester of college.
That hit pretty hard, I have been having so much fun I lost track
of time, not that I am not excited for the holiday season, I truly am. My
family is celebrating Thanksgiving in Austin and then I will get to go
home for the first time in four months in December.
Aside from the realization that it is indeed November, I love
the way this issue came together. It is all about giving thanks and our
covergirl Lix Hewett is a wonderful inspiration to all of us young girls
struggling to make ends met. She moved to London with 800 Euros and
a ton of courage.
In our lifestyles section there is a tribute to the late Lilly Pulitzer
who’s birthday we are celebrating this month. One of our contributors
came up with adorable outfits for those colder college football games
and there is a guide to fighting dry skin.
We also have an adorable recipe for your November gatherings,
they are tiny little acorns {that look delicious too}.
As always, remember to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,
Pinterest, and that District is “your right to a beautiful life.”
Keep It Beautiful,
Hayden Pigott
