When it comes time for lunch, you won’t want to miss out on
Grandale Farm Restaurant.The restaurant is located within the 120
acres of the 868 Estate Vineyards. Here, you can take in the vast
vineyard landscapes while enjoying local, seasonal dishes that truly
embrace the farm-to-table phenomenon. Walk around the grounds
to take in the view, and you won’t believe you’re so close to DC.
After lunch, you’re going to want to hit the white water rapids at the
Harpers Ferry Adventure Center. If you’re looking for something
more calming, try tubing down the river on flat water, or fishing. Also
choose from a variety of activities off the water, such as zip lining
and off-road segway tours.
Once you’ve gotten your fair share of nature, unwind over a meal
at Market Table Bistro. The menu changes often, depending on the
season and weather, so you know you’re getting the freshest of the
day. Plus, the warm, friendly atmosphere will make you feel right
at home.
After a long day of adventure, head to the Stonehouse Bed and
Breakfast, located in the heart of Harpers Ferry. Sit by the fireplace
with a glass of wine, or read a good book in the courtyard as
you listen to the trickling waterfall. Then, enjoy a complimentary
breakfast in the morning before heading back to the city.
