A Picturesque journey Back Harpers Ferry, WV If you’re looking for an outdoor escape, located just an hour outside of DC, Harpers Ferry is the perfect place for your next day trip. With options ranging from hiking, to white water rafting, and historical tours, you’re sure to find something for everyone. tart your day off with a hike or bike on the C&O Canal Towpath. It’s a great way to see the National Historical Park, and get some quiet time in. Not into the fitness aspect? After a long day of adventure, head to the Stonehouse Bed and Breakfast, located in the heart of Harpers Ferry.
