And the winner is...

An outside committee was charged with the difficult task of selecting our District Teacher of the Year from among the site selections. After lengthy deliberations, the committee selected Cynthia Brown, English teacher at Piedmont High School, as District Teacher of the Year. Ms. Brown is in her seventeenth year of teaching and her sixth as a part of Piedmont Public Schools. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University.

Congratulations to Ms. Brown, and we wish her the best of luck as she moves on to the state level Teacher of the Year competition! The picture to the left shows Dr. James White, Superintendent, presenting Ms. Brown with her award.

Click the play button below to see Dr. Courtney Lockridge, Curriculum Director, explain what curriculum mapping is as well as its impact on each student in our district.
