PROGRAM OVERVIEW PRESCHOOL District 622 Preschool is a school readiness program. We have a variety of classroom settings including an Early Childhood Special Education collaborative preschool program for three, four and five-year olds. In order to attend programs in elementary schools, children must be residents of School District 622 and live or have child care in the attendance boundaries. ISD 622 PRESCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATION ISD 622 Preschool Special Education provides services to preschoolers who are found eligible for special education through the special education evaluation process. Eligible children have a special education plan, IFSP – Individualized Family Service Plan for children under age 3 or IEP, Individual Education Plan for children over age 3. This plan outlines the goals and services provided to your child. Children are served in a variety of locations and settings including ISD 622 Preschool classrooms, Preschool Special Education classrooms, and community-based sites. Preschool Special Education Program and Services (children ages 3-5) is provided through Part B of IDEA, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. 1
