Due to special funding from the State of Minnesota, all families who live within the elementary school's
attendance areas below are encouraged to apply. If there is not sufficient space to place all interested
families, priority will be given to children with demonstrated need based on family income, language,
development and other family factors. Applications received by April 15 will be notified by the end of April.

For the last two years, District 622 was fortunate to receive Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten funding from the
State of Minnesota, which allowed 4 year olds to attend preschool for free. Unless the legislature takes
action to extend this funding into 2019–20, the only preschool locations that will be free for 4 year olds
within their school attendance areas will be Richardson Elementary and Webster Elementary. All other
schools will utilize the sliding fee scale on page 6, which provides reduced fee or free preschool to families
who qualify. Please call 651-702-8411 with any questions regarding your family's ability to qualify.
