Learn about the “ canning ” days of the past and how this once thriving cannery was a self-sustained community of approximately 200 people . During the scenic drive along the coast , there will be a brief photo stop in Saxman Native Village , where Tlingit Native Alaskans settled long ago . No history lesson of Ketchikan can be complete without a tasting of some of the most popular local delicacies .
