CANNERY, SMALL BITES & AXE THROWING

KETCHIKAN, ALASKA
Take a step back in time as you venture to one of the oldest salmon canneries in Ketchikan, Alaska. Explore the little cove where the cannery still sits today; walk along the rainforest trail, tour the various buildings with original equipment and take a chance at axe throwing. Learn about the“ canning” days of the past and how this once thriving cannery was a self-sustained community of approximately 200 people. During the scenic drive along the coast, there will be a brief photo stop in Saxman Native Village, where Tlingit Native Alaskans settled long ago. No history lesson of Ketchikan can be complete without a tasting of some of the most popular local delicacies. A menu of small bites— including fresh seafood, locally grown ingredients and wild-caught game— are served with your choice of Alaskan-brewed beer or wine.
