Anna: my favourite is H&M, ASOS and TK Max – obviously I work there Tiff: I like Missguided, Pretty Little Thing, Zara, H&M, yeah cant think of anymore Roxy: My go to’s are H&M, Topshop, Pull & Bear, Primark and River Island Interviewer: Great guys, just one more question and then we will take a 5-minute break if you like? Kelsey: yeah cool Anna: sweet Interviewer: Ok. So, do you think the high street brands you named portray feminism in anyway? Kelsey: errmm I guess they all show a bit of feminism cuz they empower girls to look good in there clothes Tiff: like Kelsey said before I think the feminist slogan-tees has been massive in spreading feminism, they are literally everywhere Interviewer: Cool, and what is your feelings on that? Tiff: hmmm, I dunno I think it’s a load of crap to be honest, its just selling slogans to people who think they look cool wearing it Interviewer: Alright, anyone else? Anna: I think it’s a good statement trend really, it spreads feminism Roxy: I disagree, I think it exploits feminism. Wearing a top with some kind of empowering slogan doesn’t make you a feminist. You gotta think about those poor women working in sweat shops to make those tees Kelsey: ooohhh I didn’t think about that Interviewer: So now you have heard that opinion does it change yours Kelsey? Kelsey: I guess, I feel bad for people in those conditions, but then you could say that about all the clothes we wear. Interviewer: Ok, has that changed anyone else opinions?
