The Truth of
the Matter
By Ali Hyder
“Science cannot see
the ultimate truth,
because it is not really
looking. They are lost
in the endless
complicated parts of
life and do not even
look at the simple
whole of life”
What are you doing?
Is that what you want? What do you want at all in life?
Oh, you don't know yet.
But your Creator does. A creature such as you, are the
reason why Rangi and Papa held each other in a tight
embrace. You parents are none other than Adam and Eve,
the world thought into existence for them and for you by The
One and Only. And He provided each of you with Ayanmo
(destiny, fate), so that you may become one with the divine
creator and source of energy.
The God of gods has esteemed you and your kind, you are the result of a historical battle, bloodshed,
entire legions of gods and goddesses in golden chariots, yes it is you who breathe who Jesus Christ died
for, and it is you who the Last Prophet Mohammed (Peace be Upon Him) prayed for on his deathbed.
If the entire history of planet Earth, about 4000 million years since its conception, was condensed into
st
one single year starting from 1st January and ending in the present times on 31 December, where
would we stand as a species?
Well, definitely not in the first three months when horrible chaotic wind and rain rapidly and continuously
changed the surface of Earth, making the monsoon rains in Pakistan look like light drizzle. It was as late
as April when life took its first figurative breath as single-celled organisms on April Fools Day.
Progress was slow. Even until June there would be no sign of plants. Then in the middle of July the first
plants would begin their precarious foothold onto the rocks, and vegetation would evolve and adapt in the
next few weeks.
During August, fish started popping into the oceans. A few would start clambering onto the land and
develop lungs.
Insects and critters in September and finally reptilian dinosaurs would appear in October. Mammals at
the time would be chased and devoured.
In November, things start to get familiar.
The most memorable event of this month is when an asteroid the size of Manhattan Island strikes Earth
with a force of 100 million megatons. The impact would release a heat pulse that would set off fires
across the planet. This is where we say goodbye to dinosaurs.
In December, mammals reign, evolving rapidly.
st
Still no signs of humans until the last day of the year, 31 December.
At noon on the last day, we see the first primate stand on two legs somewhere in Africa. Neanderthals
arrive way later, just an hour before New Year at 11:00pm. The first knives and spears are fashioned at
11:45pm, a full fifteen minutes after the first cave paintings.
Around 11:55pm civilization begins. Prostitution shortly follows. Egyptians, Babylonians, Greeks, and
Romans. At 11:58pm and 43 seconds, Jesus Christ tells everyone to behave. We kill him a nanosecond
later.
With just 20 seconds to go before the year draws to a close, Malay Raja of Singapura, Iskandar Shah
began the rule of Melacca Sultunate, around the same time when Christopher Columbus reached
America.
And just as the clock strikes 12! Here we are, in this splendid moment! So ancient is our soul, brought
forth from countless cycles of rebirth, jumping from species to species, entire lifetimes held together by
the very present moment in which your eyes dart back and forth. We are still here.
In another blip we too will die and become dirt. Of course you *know* that time is precious but why? What
is it you want to accomplish before the hour of death is upon you?
Surely someone must have had contact with the Truth of the matter. Prophets, Messengers, God as
man, man as God, Someone in our history would have made the struggle to educate you and me.
We say we have the answers, in scriptures, poems, hymns, The Holy Books, the Seven Ways, The Nine
Paths, The Symbols, in everything and in nothing. But not a single answer. Because one is ready to look.
No one is willing.

Truth is ever to be found in the simplicity, and not in the multiplicity and confusion of things. Isaac Newton
Science cannot see the ultimate truth, because it is not really looking. They are lost in the endless
complicated parts of life and do not even look at the simple whole of life, the big picture that must include
consciousness.
