LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
Welcome ,
As a young boy growing up with a single mother suffering from polio and kidney disease , it was a big deal when we got our first family computer . Although computers had been around for decades , back in 1987 , they were just becoming more mainstream and accessible for lower and middle-class families to own and enjoy . I remember the day she brought it home like it was yesterday . I was so intrigued and immediately wanted to learn more , so I took a course to understand how to use this shiny , new technology . Fast forward to the present day , I am now the CEO and Founder of Dispatch Tech — a cybersecurity firm specializing in helping small to mid-sized businesses turn technology into a powerful tool to help them thrive . So , although I only founded Dispatch Tech in 2008 , I would really say my entrepreneurial IT journey began back in 1987 when my mother brought home that first computer .
Of course , the business has evolved over the years . Currently , we work with many DoD subcontractors to help them with CMMC compliance requirements and enhancing their cybersecurity protocols . However , we are not content with just being “ good .” At Dispatch Tech , it ’ s our mission to continually learn and grow so we can be the most comprehensive MSP possible . That ’ s why we continue this legacy of learning within our company in honor of our humble beginnings by providing numerous internship opportunities for emerging talent that may not otherwise get the chance to break into the industry . As a result , we ’ ve found some of the most exceptional auditors , cybersecurity technicians , and other integral employees , and we ’ re even gearing up to welcome between four to twelve new technicians in the coming weeks !
But beyond educating our own employees and interns , we felt that our customers were missing out on key pieces of our knowledge and expertise , and hence , Operation Success Magazine was created . Operation Success
Magazine is meant to be a resource that any owner of a small to mid-sized business can browse to pick up valuable nuggets of information , including finding DoD subcontractors in their area , learning about how we can help with the CMMC process , and reading about specific cybersecurity tips they can implement immediately to help protect their business . We include articles about all kinds of business topics such as sales , marketing , and leadership to help you succeed in all facets of success .
We want people to understand that our services are available from coast to coast . While many cybersecurity firms like to lock into one geographical area , we have clients that benefit from our specialized approach to IT services from all over the nation , from Hawaii to Virginia to Seattle and beyond ! Not to mention , we can seamlessly integrate with your existing IT team to ensure a smooth transition with little to no lag period .
Ultimately , our goal at Dispatch Tech is to Partner , Manage , and Protect our customers in any way we can . Although people see me as a successful entrepreneur and President of Dispatch Tech now , I always think back to that little boy with his first computer who had no idea what he was doing or what this meant to his life . I ’ m forever grateful for the chance I was given to learn and grow with this technology , and I hope you find that this magazine grants you the same opportunity .
