Greg Smith( King Triton) Greg was last seen on the TCR stage in Frozen( Weselton) and Little Shop of Horrors( Mr. Mushnik). He has performed with Revival Theatre Company in Come From Away( Nick) and La Cage Aux Folles( George). He appreciates anyone who actively supports live theater and he’ s really glad you came to see The Little Mermaid. He would like to thank his wife, Marcia, his four kids, his parents and in-laws. Their constant love and support allows him to continue his passion for story-telling.
Finley Stevens( Sebastian) Finley is excited to splash back on the stage as Sebastian in TCR’ s production of The Little Mermaid. You may have previously seen them in Frozen( Oaken) and as the puppeteer of Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors. Finley would like to thank their friends at TCR for creating such a warm and inviting space for them and everyone else who comes to TCR as well as Brenda for dealing with them being tired all the time.
Jenub Wan( Jetsam) Jenub is thrilled to be taking on the role of Jetsam in The Little Mermaid at Theatre Cedar Rapids! A lifelong lover of the stage, Jenub has been involved many shows now. Most recent credits include Frozen( Bishop / Ensemble Dance Captain), Little Shop of Horrors( Urchin), and Hairspray( Seaweed). He is grateful for the opportunity to bring this mischievous character to life and to collaborate with such a talented cast and creative team. Jenub would like to thank his family, friends, and fellow performers for their continued support and encouragement as he dives into the deep depths of the ocean.
Ellen Welch( Arista / Ensemble) Ellen is thrilled to be back on the TCR stage! She holds a BA in Dance from the University of Iowa and has performed, choreographed, and taught throughout the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area. Previous credits include Merrily We Roll Along( Meg Kincaid / Ensemble) with Revival Theatre Company; and at Theatre Cedar Rapids: Cabaret( Fritzie), Hairspray( Brenda / Dance Captain), Beauty and the Beast( Ensemble / Dance Captain), Carrie( Ensemble / Dance Captain), The Wizard of Oz( Ensemble / Dance Captain), School of Rock( Ms. Bingham / Mrs. Travis), and Frozen( Ensemble / Featured Dancer). She also appeared in Catch Me If You Can( Ensemble / Dance Captain) with City Circle Theatre Company. She has taught dance at various studios around the area, choreographed Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed in TCR’ s Grandon Studio and served as Associate Choreographer for Frozen and Assistant Choreographer for Beauty and the Beast. Megan Wheelock( Aquata / Ensemble) Megan is thrilled to return to the TCR stage after being seen in Frozen( Bulda, Elsa Understudy), Guys & Dolls( Vernon / Ensemble), and Little Shop of Horrors( Ensemble). She recently graduated from Viterbo University’ s Conservatory for the Performing Arts with her BFA in Music Theatre and a minor in Dance. Some of her Viterbo credits include Heathers, These Shining Lives, Sweeney Todd, and She Kills Monsters. She would like to thank God, as well as her friends and family for all of their continuous support.
