life. I invited Cyndi because I rarely get
a chance to sit down with her over lunch
and talk about her work, and I knew she
and Michele would have so much to dis-
cuss. Our conversation was as dynamic
as our delicious food.
We started off our meal with the
lobster bisque. It was rich and creamy,
embellished with chunks of delicious
lobster. Next, deciding to share every-
thing, we enjoyed the crab cakes and
stuff ed banana peppers. Th ey were both
done to perfection. Th e banana peppers
were breaded, accompanied by a fl avor-
ful red sauce. Th e crab cakes were crispy
on the outside and tender and juicy
on the inside. We had a Caesar salad,
with sculpted shavings of parmesan
sprinkled on top; simple and fl avorful.
We fi nished with the steak sandwich,
which was cooked to perfection and
homemade crispy french fries. Overall,
the quality and presentation of the food
were outstanding, and I can’t wait to go
back to try out more entrees.
Our lively conversation was equally
fun and diverse. We discussed the role
of intuition in our decision-making
processes, how travel enhances our abil-
ity to think more creatively, and shared
strategies we have tried in our attempts
to reach our greatest potential, such as
meditation and the creative problem
solving techniques my sister writes

After our meal and conversation
were complete, we had the opportunity
to meet the owner and chef, Sam Reda.
Sam was highly personable and shared
his depth of experiences of cooking in
great restaurants throughout Western
New York.
Grand Island is undoubtedly lucky
to have him open a bistro right in the
heart of the island. My recommenda-
tion would be to make your reservations
early and go hungry!
