Enhance the experience with a class designed What would you like to be when you grow up? What about a police officer or maybe a veterinarian? How about an EMT or doctor? Look no further! Explore what community helpers do each day. Find out what it takes to be one of these important people in our society. (Social Studies: K.E.1.1, Learn about the physical properties of Earth’s materials and how they are useful in many different ways. Make sure to wear your safety goggles for this meltdown on rocks, minerals, soil and water. (Science Grade 1.E.2.1) Be prepared to make some noise! Learn about the science of sound while investigating the high and low pitch of vibrations. (Science Grade 2 - 2.P.1.1, 2.P.1.2) Feel and see the forces around us. Experiment with Newton’s Laws of Motion through a variety of hands-on activities. (Science Grade 3 - 3.P.1.1, 3.P.1.3, 4.P.1.1, 5.P.1.1, 5.P.1.2, 5.P.1.4) Through rich learning experiences highlighting exploration, imagination and fun, Discovery Place to engage students and meet curriculum requirements. Chaperones One chaperone per five students is required and admitted free of charge. Additional chaperones, booked in advance, are admitted at the $5 school rate. Chaperones not booked in advance must pay full Museum admission. Through active storytelling, mapmaking and other stationbased activities, Goldilocks and the Three Bears comes to life.
