KIDSCIENCE THINK IT UP EXPLORE MORE COLLECTIONS LAB FIELD TRIP EXPERIENCE KidScience is Discovery Place’s early childhood exhibition where young children, second grade or younger and their caregivers learn about science and math as they experiment, create and play together.  Explore More Collections is a one-of-a-kind environment where you can find, identify and connect objects from the natural world. EXHIBITIONS Through an extraordinary hands-on, minds-on experience, young visitors explore science through inquiry and fun in an environment developed according to early childhood learning standards. Full of ideas, inspiration and imagination, Think It Up activates engagement in the processes of innovation. Areas include: Air Tubes, Designing Footwear, Go Motion and Sound Space. Through hands-on experiences and instruction, students will learn about human inventions and innovations, the life processes of living things and watch science come to life. A field trip to Discovery Place includes PROJECT BUILD Building takes on a new form as students tap their primitive instincts using materials such as PVC pipes and netting to build rudimentary structures critical to human survival.  From there, students unleash their inner architect to create building sketches, develop floor plans and design buildings through different computer-generated programs. all of these exhibitions plus free COOL STUFF admission to Discovery 3D Theatre, Encouraged to get physical with physics, students can learn leverage from a giant game of Tug-of-War, understand weight distribution by laying on a bed of nails and master many other STEM principles in this hands-on exhibition. live animal encounters, science shows and so much more. FANTASTIC FROGS SCIENCE BUZZ Scan the world for current topics in science at Science Buzz, a series of interactive stations throughout the Museum that bring online, audio, video, graphic and artifact components together to create discussion around contemporary topics. WORLD ALIVE Dive into World Alive where you can find diverse habitats filled with extraordinary live species, unique hands-on labs, dramatic photography and access to thousands of objects in Discovery Place’s world-class collection. Students will have the opportunity to experience and experiment with the natural world.  Travel from the top of a tropical rainforest full of live animal and plant species and a threestory waterfall the bottom of the aquarium featuring ecosystems from around the world. Prepare to enter the wild world of frogs and learn about fascinating frogs that have unexpected adaptations for survival.
