Hello everyone!
Welcome to the September 2026 issue of Discovering YOU Magazine! As summer gives way to fall, I hope you will give yourself a little time to slow down and enjoy the pages ahead. Find that special place where you can relax, read, and reflect. Then share an article or a thought that speaks to you with a friend. Some of the best conversations begin when we make time to listen, learn, and encourage one another.
I am grateful for the writers and everyone who helps bring this magazine to you. Each issue is an opportunity to offer something that informs, inspires, or simply makes you pause and think. As you read, I hope you find a message that meets you where you are and encourages you to keep discovering your own uniqueness.
I also want to personally invite you to join us for Your Own Uniqueness, Inc.’s 9th Annual WOW Event Fundraiser on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The WOW Event is a special time for our community to come together, enjoy one another’s company, and support our STEP-UP programs for young entrepreneurs. Your presence helps us continue creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and pursue their
ideas.
We are looking forward to an afternoon filled with entertainment, unique vendors, great food, and an uplifting message. Whether you have joined us before or this will be your first WOW Event, we would be delighted to welcome you. Bring a friend or family member and come ready to enjoy the afternoon with us!
The event will be held from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Crystal Gardens, 16703 Fort Street, Southgate, Michigan. I hope to see you there.
