If anyone has watched the TV show called the “A-Team,” has heard of this next person, which is none other than George Peppard Jr., who was born in Detroit. He was the leader of the A-Team. He played Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, the cigar-smoking leader of a renegade commando squad in the 1980s action television series “The A-Team.” Peppard grew up in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn. He graduated from Dearborn High School in 1946.
Anyway, Peppard secured a major role when he starred alongside Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany's” in 1961, and “The Carpetbagger” in 1964, and he played Thomas Banacek in the early-1970s television series “Banacek.” But he is best known for his role in the 1980s television show, “The A-Team.” He is buried at Northview Cemetery in Dearborn.
