D. Enter God’s rest and Quit worrying about everything. Quit trying to figure it out. Turn it over to God. Don't fall apart. Stop complaining. Stay in peace. You may go thru some valleys and difficult seasons. You don't have to fear evil, for the Lord your God, is right there with you. So…no use losing sleep over that child that's not where they should be—turn them over to God. No use being frustrated over that negative on at work—turn it over to God and rest in God. You need to

see from heaven’s perspective, the threat has been canceled. The solution is enroute. Stay in peace and don't let worry rob you. Put your foot down and say, "That's it! This is a new day. I'm going to guard my mind. I'm going to live from a place of peace".

III. SUBMIT TO GOD’S WILL & FOCUS ON HIS PROMISES, RATHER THAN

DAILY WORRIES AND FUTURE FEARS

A. What you are thinking matters a big deal! At all times (especially when you hit a hard spot), Phil. 4:8 says “whatever is true…whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, excellent and praise worthy…DWELL ON THESE THINGS! But you ask: why dwell on what is true?

Jesus said in John 16:3 this attracts the “Spirit of truth, who will guide you into all the truth!” Why dwell on honorable, right and pure things? Jesus said in Matt. 5:8

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God!” And why dwell on that which is lovely, commendable, excellent, and praise worthy? Jesus promised “Peace I leave with you” and it says that it sends God’s peace that surpasses all comprehension that guards our hearts & minds in Christ Jesus.” So remember…

B. When you rest, God goes to work, but

never happen. God has grace for every season & situation you go through. II Cor. 12:9 says “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. Most gladly I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.” Remember…

C. Being worried or frustrated doesn’t get God’s attention, but resting in His peace

and purpose does! Worrying doesn't help you to heal. Being frustrated doesn’t get

God’s attention. Studies show that living stressed & uptight, weakens the immune

system. Worrying won’t get you into that new job, restored marriage, saved family,

needed peace or financial miracle. Only the Peace of God will! You have a destiny to fulfill. You need your energy, your wisdom, your creativity, to become all God's created you to be. So cast your load on Christ Jesus today and enter into his rest. Remember Peter in prison in Acts 12:2-5. King Herod had killed James (the brother of John) and now arrested Peter “intending to kill him with the sword the next day (since it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread”). But that night instead of pacing the floor, stressed out during his last hours on earth…the angel of the Lord had to strike Peter’s side and wake him up out of a very sound sleep. If Peter would've been stressed & worried, maybe the angel wouldn't have showed up. But because Peter sought the peace of God, God said, "All right. Let me go to work". So, if you are losing sleep over something you can't do anything about? How about changing your plans and rest in God. As long as you're honoring God and being your best--you can rest! Do what Peter did in a night of trouble in Acts 12 and go to sleep!
