“Break Out”----
Fulfill Your Destiny
When I think about the "breaking out" of something, it is usually with a negative connotation. The term has been used to explain the actions of an inmate unlawfully leaving prison or we may refer to the unwanted pimples and blackheads on our faces as "breaking outs". The spreading of unsightly hives on our skin when it has brushed up against something poisonous. “Breaking out” is forceful and aggressive. It is often uncomfortable and even painful, but it is also a producer of change from one state of being into another.
The name of my non-profit organization is Your Own Uniqueness and my logo is a butterfly and swan joined together. I believe that the logo was divinely given to me because it depicts
with such accuracy the mission that God has given to me. Both the butterfly and swan are ugly creatures initially and then God allows them to go through a metamorphosis that turns them into beautiful creations thus reaching their full potential and fulfilling their destiny.
The mission of YOU, Inc. is to assist women and youth in reaching their full potential by first overcoming barriers that would hinder them from achieving their goals and fulfilling their destinies. Secondly, to encourage and teach them Kingdom principles that will assist them in fulfilling their goals, purpose, and destiny.
God gave me this vision over twenty years ago and I have forever kept it before me. I launched it officially by becoming a non-profit 501c3 in January 2000. Although I have touched the lives of many people through my conferences, books, and my magazine, the most important partaker of the mission has been me. God told me that I must be the first fruit of Your Own Uniqueness, Inc. and although I have not arrived, I am certainly on the right path, and I can see the transformation in my life.
