SPIRITUALITY AND FAITH

Lord with all your heart, and lean NOT on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

B.Surrender your will to God’s.

Many times, when we say we are seeking God’s will, what we are really wanting to say to God is this: “OK, God, here’s what I’m planning to do. Now I need you to rubber stamp this, all right?” But when we fully submit our thoughts and ways to God’s higher ways and thoughts (Isa. 55:8-9) He will really begin to direct our steps.

C.Obey what you already know to be God’s Will.

God has said some basic things about His will for your life:

1.He wants you to be saved. (John 3:16)

2.Once you belong to Him, He wants you to live a special kind of life. (I Peter 2:9)

3.God wants you to live your life as a model for the world. (I Peter 3:15, 2:15)

4.God wants us to live grateful lives focused on God’s blessings.

D.Seek godly Input.

One key to finding God’s will is to seek the input of godly advisors in your life and helpful guidance from articles in this monthly magazine. It is vital that you choose those people well who speak into your life, because it has been said that each of us are basically the composite of the 5 people you spend the most time with!

2.Where does God want me to live? (Bigger question: can I serve God there? Has the place come with God’s favor, peace/confirmation, and a clear open door?)

3.What does God want me to do for a living? (Better question: can I use this job opportunity to serve others and give me time to be with family, God and His Church. The key to learning God’s will for your life is to make yourself ready for the time when God wants you to do something in you. How do you make yourself ready?

II.THIS DESTINY IS GAINED BY INTENTIONALLY PURSUING GOD’S PURPOSE IN YOUR LIFE

Psa. 139:16-17 says, “in His book were written the days that were ordained when as yet there were none of them”. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.” How can you know God’s Stated Purpose for Your Life? Here’s how…

A.Walk with God.

Cultivate a relationship with God. Spend time daily in His Word, take time for prayer and get involved in His Church learning His purposes and serving His Purposes. Prov. 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the
