Our following was growing and the support for the project to create Sanctum House was alive and well. We applied for a grant from the government and received it. We found the perfect community and home so we could open our doors to endless possibilities and our first resident in February 2018. Community support from individuals, corporations, and foundations has been unbelievable and has kept the program sustainable for the last 4 ½ years.
We continue to learn day in and day out from the women that become residents, graduates, and sisters for life. They give us the honor and opportunity to work with them. We offer them the tools, the love, and the path that they need to transform their lives. By addressing their physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs we can walk beside our
women heal and transform their lives. Since I was lucky enough to be able to transform my life, I knew that if I could come out the other side from where I was that there were women out there, just like me, that were mothers, daughters, sisters, and wives, and grandmothers,
residents on their journey of healing from trauma and addiction.
Throughout my life, I have continued to look within and work towards healing the traumas of my own past, from childhood to maturity. There was nothing that I wanted to ask of the women we are lucky enough to work with that I had not gone through myself. I could relate to them, and I am cognizant of their power. They are courageous women.
Today I am not only a Realtor, but I am also creating a system to teach people what I did to be able to open Sanctum House. So many steps, so many people, so much support and dedication to a common cause and mission. We offer the opportunity to create for oneself a sustainable and independent lifestyle. I am proud to be the Founder of this phenomenal organization and watch it grow into the future. The possibilities are endless!
