SPIRITUALITY AND FAITH

powerful act, because it’s a means by which we harmonize our prayers with the intention and prayers of the Awesome Holy Spirit. With this in mind, let us pray and claim the Holy Spirit’s help in spiritual breakthrough and answers from God! 3rdly…

III. TO GET READY FOR GOD’S AWESOME EXPLOSIVE POWER, PROJECT GOD-FAITH AND EXPECT GOD-SIGNS (Mark 16:17-20)

A.Supernatural Signs are to follow Supernatural Faith. The Greek word for “follow” means “to tirelessly accompany someone as a faithful companion”. Signs that follow us have a purpose—they point to greater reality—of Jesus and our Helper-Holy Spirit. Just as signs along the highway confirm you are on the right road, Signs confirm we are on the path of God’s Awesome Power/Presence. So ask the Holy Spirit to rekindle the flame of faith in your hearts to see the supernatural signature of God and Signs on your life! The Bible guarantees signs and wonders will accompany His Awesome message of healing, deliverance, infilling and blessing! So, dare to believe God, knowing God wants to bring you the “things hoped for”. Also rest in Heb. 11:6 believing “God is a rewarder to those who seek Him.”

B. Explosive Signs will keep up with Expectant Belief. Jesus answers the question here as to “why we don’t see more signs following Christians”! Verse 17 says “And these signs shall follow them THAT BELIEVE…” (“These signs shall follow them that are constantly believing them to occur…”) The number of signs and wonders that will follow us is determined by how intensely we are constantly believing for them to manifest! Hebrews 10:35-36 says “Do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that

3. He helps us in our weakness and prays through us “with groanings too deep for natural words.” Rom. 8:26. As the Spirit moves in us and we yield to Him, He will pray thru us in words and phrases which He inspires.

4. He “searches our hearts, knowing what the mind of the Spirit is (what is best for us).” Rom. 8:27. As we yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit, He comes to us, fills us with His power and presence, and prays thru us. It is no longer us directing our own prayers, its the Holy Spirit praying thru us! What a powerful way to pray!

5. He “intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” As we allow the Spirit to pray thru us we pray for needs in God’s perfect will. Rom. 8:28 “God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God…called according to His purpose.

B. The Bible speaks of the Blessing of Praying in the Spirit. Praying in the Spirit is the Language of Surrender! When you pray in tongues, you are surrendering syllables and sounds to God with childlike faith. When you pray in tongues, you allow the Holy Spirit to attach His meaning, will and His intentions to your voice. In I Cor. 14:14-15 Paul adds “If I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. What’s the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit, but I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the mind also.”

C. The Bible further speaks of at least Two Additional Beliefs for Praying in the Spirit. Jude 20-21 “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God…. Here, Jude says: (1) Faith is increased and we are (2) Kept in the love of God. Praying in tongues is a
