WHAT'S NEW & WHO'S WHO
Growing up as a special education student, Terri Brinston struggled to see her own intelligence and potential. No matter how much she achieved—earning degrees, building a career, raising a family—there was still a lingering feeling that she wasn’t enough.
It took years of learning, growing, and deep self-reflection for Terri to realize something life-changing: she was never lost. Everything she needed to succeed and thrive had always been within her. This realization not only transformed her own life but also ignited her passion to help others discover the same truth in themselves.
Terri’s professional journey reflects her commitment to service, growth, and empowerment. She is a Registered Nurse, Certified Teacher, Legal Nurse Consultant, a published author, and entrepreneur whose work has touched countless lives. With more than two decades of experience in healthcare, education, and leadership, she has blended her expertise with her personal mission: to inspire individuals and organizations to embrace their full potential.
As founder and CEO of My School Nurse LLC (MSN), Terri provides schools and community organizations with a holistic approach to student safety, health, and wellness. MSN’s mission is to facilitate student success by addressing health and wellness needs that often prevent or delay learning. All service plans work within the standards outlined by professional school nurse and health organizations while following federal and state regulations. By bridging traditional
nursing with holistic wellness strategies, MSN empowers schools to support the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.
In November 2017, Terri also founded the Nurturing Wellness Group Foundation LLC (NWGF), a Wayne County, Michigan-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. NWGF’s primary focus is helping students and young adults overcome barriers to success in school and life by providing access to a holistic support system. The foundation builds the capacity of students and families for adaptation, self-management, career preparation, self-advocacy, and lifelong learning. Its work includes educational programming, prevention initiatives, mentoring, case management services, and parent support. By tailoring its programs to individuals, schools, and nonprofits, NWGF provides the guidance and encouragement that promote resilience and long-term success.
