the Red Sea they found…
B. God will destroy our past to create our future! Just 3 days into the journey out of Egypt, at the Red Sea, Israel saw Pharaoh’s army coming after them. What they didn’t know at the time, was that God wanted to destroy their past so they couldn’t go back! God wants to do the same with us so He can create our future as we have an ongoing dependence on Him! Thus, when Israel was terrified and cried out, God said in Exodus 14:15-16 “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward. Lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and the sons of Israel shall go through the midst of the sea on dry land.” Thus, their desperation positioned them to obey God and they got on the other side of their problem and never saw their old task masters again! God wants to deliver you from your past and create your future if you will fully rely on God’s Word and let Him lead you in purpose!
PRAY: “Heavenly Father, teach me to trust in you. Remind me that your plans are to help and not harm. For you are a loving God and you alone know how my situation will end for my good and your glory. So, I fully yield my life to you today. Make my heart your throne! Please help me hear your calling and respond as your faithful child. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
