" When you understand that two different individuals are going to live in a common space getting to know one another, then your anticipation for the future will be to have a successful outcome."

would like to challenge you to write down on a piece of paper that you are going to take one day at a time with this union---write that down. Remember, you did not marry a perfect person, in fact, the truth of the matter is you know that you have some quirks that would make any other person run for the boarder, but the one who married you loves those quirks.

This is my sincere advice- “Take a look at the whole picture before you decide to plan that day”. Truly know what you are getting yourself into. It's understood that you want to fall in love, court and have that special day, but what about that special lifetime together. I suggest that your priorities should be to have anticipation for all the days after. That means putting some thought into it. It doesn't mean placing the responsibility for your happiness on your spouse. You both must work at making it work so that you may both anticipate that 10-year anniversary, and so on and so forth. It is

not just about meeting Mr. or Ms. Right, it takes a commitment to working through the kinks and understanding that men truly are from Mars and women are from Venus. When you understand that two different individuals are going to live in a common space getting to know one another, then your anticipation for the future will be to have a successful outcome. Therefore, while you are planning that special day, also plan that special life together.

"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as [a service] to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as Christ is head of the church, Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also wives should be subject to their husbands in everything [respecting both their position as protector and their responsibility to God as head of the house]. Husbands, love your wives [seek the highest good for her and surround her with a caring, unselfish love], just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her..." (Ephesians 5: 22 - 25, AMP).
