“This is the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia during fall season”

November in the
State of Virginia
The state of Virginia is a great state to visit if you are in the area or planning on going there. I’ve been there at least 20 times, and not only is it a haven for FREE attractions such as multiple Historic Civil War sites, but there are many other things to see and do during the fall months of October to mid-November. During these peak times, this state is very spectacular to see with the changing of the leaves all around you.
From the mountains to the Atlantic Ocean, the entire state becomes a feast for the eyes beginning with western Virginia's famous mountain region with driving tours along "America's favorite drive", the “Blue Ridge Parkway in Shenandoah National Park.” The higher you go, the more breathtaking the vista. If you go to any National Park in the USA, it’s FREE entry to all National Parks on November 11th. During the month of November, Virginia has many events like the “Yorktown Harvest Festival, Thanksgiving Festival at Berkeley Plantation, Blue Grass Music and Barbeque Festival in Brookneal, Veterans Day parades in the cities of Tazewell and Virginia Beach,” as well as a list of other such events. Virginia’s temperature is still fairly mild in the month of November being in the 50’s and early 60’s depending on the elevation.
One of my most favorite places to visit in the state is historic “Colonial Williamsburg” during the fall months. This place reminds me of our Greenfield Village in Dearborn, but Williamsburg has a 1700’s theme to it which is spectacular to see in the fall months. This place use to be Virginia’s State Capital. A great place for picture taking!
