VACATION AND TRAVEL
There are many log cabins and chalets to rent next to the mountains and some higher up in altitude that have game rooms, hot tubs, indoor pools, BBQ grills, wild life viewing balconies and many more amenities depending on the resort. There are some that have one to seven bedrooms for rent, and some with even more rooms, with package deals as I already mentioned including attractions, all in one price.
There is also lodge style and hotels/motels, some being name brand places. If you are on a budget then you will find cheaper priced accommodations with cabins and motels available. Most places have swimming pools, many of the indoor kind. There are many cabins and Bed and Breakfast places that are geared towards
the romantic visitor, and the newlywed.
If you plan on taking your pet, there are some pet friendly cabins and other such accommodations that will allow you to have your pet in your room. There are many places that won’t allow this, but there is a listing online that will give you the names of all the pet friendly places. Here are just a few that I will list: Aunt Bug’s Cabin Rentals, Amazing Views Cabin Rentals and the Hearthside Cabin Rentals.
Now, if you like shopping, then Gatlinburg is a good place to visit which has a lot of retail shops on both sides of the street and you will get some exercise in the meantime. I usually drive through the city just to see what is happening in town, then park and walk. They have a lot of people out at nighttime with a lot of night life happening there.
The nearby city of Pigeon Forge is a different type of city with lots of souvenir shops and low rise motels. Lastly, you will find that this entire area has some of the best restaurants around such as BBQ places, many pizza joints, Italian food, great steakhouses, Mexican food, Sports grills, sub shops and plenty of burger joints and much more.
