A few years ago in November, I had the opportunity to speak at a women's luncheon by giving an inspirational short speech; I was not the keynote speaker, but just the same, I know my message had a tremendous impact on the audience because I was given some very positive feedback. During the event, I had the opportunity to pray for an older woman who purchased one of my new books, "Taking Control of Your Life from the Inside Out". She informed me that she was going to call me, and I told her that I looked forward to hearing from her. Well, she did call, and I was a bit surprised to hear from her. Many people say they are going to call me to talk when they are caught up in "the moment", but seldom do they call.
When she phoned me and I heard her voice, I immediately knew who she was and the first thing she said to me was that she was set free. She read the Control book, and she went on to tell me what a blessing it was to her and how she was going to begin to live a much better life because of the message that was conveyed in the book. I was ecstatic! Those words blessed me immensely. No
one knows how much an author wants to hear that their published work was so impactful to their readers. But more importantly, it changed someone's life.
I am aware that God uses many channels to inform His children outside of the bible, contrary to what many people may believe. I believe that God gives revelation to certain people and instructs them to put the information in a book. The Bible can be a bit complex, and it may not always answer certain questions to the reader, therefore, many are called to rightly divide the word to help give revelation about God's will and purpose while we are on this planet.
