It’s time again. Yes, we are fast approaching the end of another year. It has been a very interesting year for me personally. We successfully completed another summer for the STEP UP Program; it was our second summer. We had a blast at the WOW Event this past October; it was our best one yet. This is the opinion of many who attended it for the last few years. Oh, and I leased a new vehicle this past June; a Buick Envision. But more importantly, I am still here in my right mind and in good health. I am thankful for every day. I must admit, there have been some disappointments but as I always say, “Let’s keep it movin.” As I see the leaves falling to the ground and experiencing our first real snow fall, I realize that we are in a new season. Isn’t it amazing how God introduces the seasons by signs such as leaves turning the most beautiful colors, temperatures falling and the snow sneaking up on us when it desires too. I anticipate signs for a change in season for all of you, yes, me too.
Although we are in the month of November, I am earnestly making plans and looking forward to next year’s event. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about the upcoming STEP UP Program, our quarterly events and the 5th annual WOW Event and let’s not forget all of the activities in between. Anticipation is making me wait, you have heard that expression before, right? Well, just to make things real clear. Waiting with patience builds character and by indulging in this month issue, I believe we can help you with that. I know you will not be disappointed when you actually turn the pages of this digital magazine. Oh, by the way, Discovering You Magazine just celebrated its 4th year being a digital magazine October 2016. As I promised it has become more interesting with each issue.
In this month’s issue, we will be featuring many great articles that will influence you to work on the
areas that we may be slack in. Also, we have some great holiday recipes for you to try. More importantly, we will be featuring a wonder gentleman, Gino Byrd -AKA MC Gino. This gentleman has had many challenges dealing with a birth defect, the death of his father and abandonment, but it didn’t stop him from pursuing his craft as a radio and TV broadcaster. He is quite good at it too. I believe that this article will greatly inspire and encourage you to go after your dreams despite the obstacles you may face. You will find yourself reflecting on your own life and the aspiration that you have deep down in your soul. The new year is coming, and it is the time to realize that you can accomplish your dreams and be the best you can be in 2020. Get excited and look fate in the eye and tell ‘em whose boss as you Discover ......Your Own Uniqueness! Be Blessed!!!
