WHAT GOD HAS PUT TOGETHER
If you ask a couple who has been married for more than twenty-five years how they stayed together so long, most of them may tell you, "I looked in the mirror and saw me." Realizing that if God can love them despite themselves, surely, they should not be willing to do any less with their partner. When God looks at marriage, He feels joy because He created it "in the beginning" (Genesis 2:24). He said marriage was good. It is love that covers a multitude of faults, and Joy is the strength (Nehemiah 8:10) that God gives all who
believe and trusts Him in their marriages to endure. Therefore, pursue the spirit of Joy and let it strengthen you in your marriage. God has not given up on you----do not give up on each other.
"Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength," (Nehemiah 8:10, KJV).
