in the Atlantic Ocean in 1912 on its maiden voyage. This theater also offers musicals with singers and much more. There are a lot of other things happening there, and you need to see their website to fully appreciate what they offer.
While you’re in the Lancaster County area and you have some time to spare, there are many other attractions worth seeing and all in short driving distance. One that comes to mind is the “Gettysburg Civil War Battlefield,” which is in Adams County. This is a city frozen in time where you feel you have arrived back in 1863 where it had the largest land battle ever fought on US soil. This is a great place to visit, if you love history and architecture, which you will see many of the original buildings still standing, and still in use throughout the city.
Now, if you like factory tours on how something is made, then they have many factory tours very nearby in Lancaster County, and the first is the “Herr’s Snack Factory” in the city of Nottingham, and also, over in the city of Hanover is the “Utz Potato Chips Factory Tour.” You will
see how potato chips are made. The next tour is the “Harley-Davidson Factory Tours” in the city of York, which is FREE for one particular tour, and the other tours in the same plant come with a cost. You will see them make motorcycles from start to finish.
The last tour which is also nearby is “Hershey Chocolate World” in the city of Hershey. I’ve been to this place and at the end of this tour there are FREE samples.
This tour takes you on a Tram vehicle which takes you on this 30-minute narrated tour sitting in comfort while seeing the process of candy making. Just show up during business hours for the tour at no cost. This place is very family friendly for kids and adults alike. There are many other tours and attractions I didn’t list!
