After surviving cancer, coming out of toxic relationships, and learning self-forgiveness and acceptance, I accepted the call to be a catalyst for other women who were hurting from rejection and low self-worth and founded in 2002, Your Own Uniqueness, Inc., a non-profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to empower women and youth to fulfill their purpose by overcoming the barriers that hinder them from achieving this mandate. He showed me that they would go through a metamorphosis; a complete change, go from an immature to mature state of existence. A maturity that is reached by going through stages of transformation. In fact, the logo for the organization is a butterfly and swan. Two distinct creatures who experience the transformation that makes them look completely different from their initial state. This is the mandate for Your Own Uniqueness; to help others to become completely different from their beginning condition.
for this unique ministry that will catapult the lives of many and ensure that they will have a future of hope. They will fulfill their destiny and pass on their legacy to others.
Being the youngest of five children, I was sheltered and spoiled, but that fact left me with regrets. It held me captive to a world in which I never quite felt ready for and a future I was not ready to face. Fear was a constant companion for me which hindered me from facing head on my destiny for many years. But I somehow knew that running and escaping from it would not be my fate. It was the one thing I was sure of; I was sure that God had called me to do something greater than myself, but never understood why it was for me to fulfill it. Seeing so many wonderful and fulfilled woman around me, I asked God to choose one of them. I felt they would be more suited for the task of empowering women and challenging them to fulfill the calling of God on their lives by discovering the unique individual that He has called to fulfill their destinies.
