Abuse, trauma, hurt and pain are all works of the devil, but Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and restore our minds to the fullness all He created us to fulfill. Acts 10:38 says "God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." Jesus came to help you win the battle of the mind. Psalms 23:3 says "He restores my soul: He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." God leads with His renewed thoughts in our mind. II Tim. 1:7 says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." IV. CONFESS YOUR FAULTS AND NEEDS TO THOSE ABLE TO HELP YOU DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT
If you are looking for someone to confide in, find someone who knows we take our sins, lies and brokenness to God and exchange them for His Freedom, His Truth, His Healing and Life that Jesus empowers us to live. That’s what God was thinking when James 5:16 says "Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another, that you may be healed." You don’t have to keep retelling it and live in shame. You just need someone who has Spiritual lifting power to help cast your burden and exchange it for God’s blessing! Heb. 8:12 says “For I will be merciful to your iniquities, and I will remember your sin no more!” Your heart attitude should be “Lord, I am WILLING to forgive others, forgive myself and receive your forgiveness”.
