Take a 45-minute Lake Cruise

While the Terrace Hotel is a contemporary design, the Lambuth Inn was built in 1921 and is elegant and historic, the Lambuth Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. A popular destination for many guests, Lambuth Inn offers panoramic views of Lake Junaluska and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Lambuth dining room serves all-you-can-eat buffet-style meals for up to 350 guests. This inn has the same amenities as each other, but one is modern and the other historic.

Now, I lived down here south of this area for 4 years and I know where all the good places to visit are, which brings me to the nearby attractions. I already mention the Smoky Mountain National Park, with the nearby cities of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to stay at. There are many things to do in these cities and the park itself is FREE entry. They are 90 minutes away from Lake Junaluska, which is the north entrance. The south entrance is in the city of Cherokee, which is south of the Smoky Mountains National Park, which can be entered from the city of Cherokee through the south entrance to gain park entrance.

If you decide to stay at one of the 2 lakeside hotels, you can expect to pay more, but if you get a two-queen size bedroom, you can split the cost with someone for instance. Just to mention these 2 lakeside hotels. The first one is the contemporary, Terrace Hotel. Your stay here with the price of your room includes a hot breakfast with waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, eggs, grits, and bacon or sausage, unlike most places which is just a continental breakfast. If you do not stay there, you can still stop there for breakfast at $13.00 for adults, and less for children.
