Anyway when you first arrive, you will find a great amount of things to see and do near the falls. One of the most popular attractions most people try is the “Maid of the Mist” boat ride, which takes you as close as they can to the falls. Everyone wears raincoats because of all the water mist hitting you in the face. The sound of the falls being so close up can be deafening with the thundering sound they give off, but this boat ride is an experience in itself if you decide to partake in this ride.

They also have the newest 700 passenger boats ride which is the “Hornblower Niagara Cruises,” which departs on the Canadian side, while the “Maid of the Mist” departure point, I believe, is on the American side.

If you really want to get a spectacular view of the falls, take an elevator ride up to the very top on the 520 foot high “Skylon Tower.” They have indoor/outdoor observation decks high off the ground, which offers the best view to observe not only all the falls but the city limits, and the Rainbow Bridge connecting the USA to Canada.

While on the Skylon Tower, they have two dining rooms. One dining room slowly revolves while you’re eating, so

you’ll see the entire area if you look out

the windows. This room seat 276 people! This is one of the best places to take photos from this elevated view, or if you prefer take the helicopter ride which will take you right over the falls, and the general area where you can see for miles in all directions.

Once you’re back on the ground they have this street or area call “Clifton Hill,” which is the heart of many of the attractions and restaurants. This is where you will find the bulk of all the tourist and people! Clifton Hill is Niagara Falls top destination for attractions, restaurants, entertainment and more! This street and area is located just one block over from the Niagara Horseshoe Falls and it’s a must-visit for families, couples and sightseers.
