SPIRITUALITY AND FAITH

victory and deliverance today too since He is LIMITLESS “the same yesterday, today and forever!”

II. BREAK FREE OF LIMITING ADDICTIONS

An addiction is formed when we try to use something other than God (sex, drugs, alcohol, parties) to meet our need to be loved. When our ability to receive God's love into our hearts is hindered, we will feel like something is missing, and seek to fill the love-void in our hearts with something else (an addiction). To discover the root of your addiction, you need to get real honest with yourself. Why don't you feel loved and lovable? Dealing with the issues underlying an addiction is key to

uprooting it permanently. You need the Power of the Holy Spirit to bust you completely free in ONE STEP from the root

for addictions you have had to contend with even after 12 step programs! Through the power provided by the Holy Spirit you can lay aside deceptive ways of thinking and be renewed in your mind (Rom. 12:2) “to prove the will & power of God”! So take control of your thoughts, hurts, low self-esteem and vulnerable areas of Satan’s attack, since Prov. 23:7 says “For as a man thinks within himself, so he is”. Many need deep, inner healing of memories to blot out the destructive video replays that interfere with the way you live. You may have used addictions to “medicate” hurts from anger, anxiety, disapproval by others, low self-esteem and vulnerable areas of Satan’s attack. But addictions do NOT heal you…they only further hurt you. Only JESUS can fill this void and refresh your spirit. Your image of God is the foundation for your future motivations. This is why I challenge you to get into the Books of Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians and study the teaching of the “Father’s Heart” and who you are “In Christ” which is so valuable in emotional healing! The healing for damaged emotions and controlling addictions is in the fact that Jesus demonstrated His total identification with us by His undeserved death. If you want lasting freedom and wholeness in this area of your life, you will have to deal with the issues that have limited your capacity to receive and live in the love and life God has for you.
