BEFORE YOU SAY I DO
Living "Common Law" and/or dating without commitments are not favorable. Do not expect that union to be blessed. Do not expect anything from God. Many couples are living together outside of marriage who are seemingly doing well, but continue to watch and you will soon see its demise. God's word is true with a promise.
"He that finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22).
Ladies, if a man asks you to "shack up" with him, he does not respect you and his expectations for that relationship to work are little. Gentlemen, if a woman suggests living together, you'd better run because she is up to no good.
Cohabiting outside of God's will is just a waste of time. So if you are reading this article and you are considering just living together outside of the covenant of marriage, do not expect to be blessed and do not expect any acceptance from God.
"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers, God will judge" (Hebrews 13: 4, ASV).
