SPIRITUALITY AND FAITH
the Author of LIFE. He was born as the author of LIFE so as I John 1:2a says real "LIFE was manifested to us". This is why we must value LIFE because Jesus said in John 10:10 "I came that (everyone) may have life, and have it abundantly." Jesus not only saved and delivered people but also healed people of all ages and raised some from the dead.
2. Jesus was born so we would value the Inspiration of LIFE. While on earth Jesus demonstrated the LIFE and power of God to the extent John says in I John 1:2b, “we have seen and testify" the inspiration Jesus' life brings. David testified in Psa. 16:11, "You will make known to me the path of LIFE; in your presence is fullness of joy; in your right hand there are pleasures forever!"
3. Jesus was born so we would value the Eternality of LIFE. This was made clear in I John 1:2c when it proclaims “the eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us. This value of Eternal Life is seen in John 3:16 "...shall not perish but have everlasting life." This is serious business! We DON'T take life, because this life is only the beginning of life! With this seriousness on Life, its appropriate the shortest verse in the Bible says "Jesus wept". This Jesus who wept at the temporary severance of his friend Lazarus from his sisters Martha and Mary must weep over death of 63 million babies in America since Jan. 22, 1973 (1/5 of U.S. current population).
B. Due to "Unfinished Business", we must make up our minds on "Which lives matter"? Are we ONLY to identity with those who like us, only those who think like us? NO! Every life is sacred from the womb to the tomb! The Sixth Commandment prohibits murder (Exodus 20:13) and in Gen. 9:5-6 God says, "I will require your lifeblood from every man...whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the
convictions today and have to believe Men leading their families are responsible to do something about it. If we're going to change things and get "Unfinished Business" done in our home and lives, we must read the Bible for Rom. 10:17 says, "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God". Secondly: ...
II. WE NEED TO LOVE, SUPPORT LIFE and VALUES...SINCE ALL LIFE MATTERS TO GOD
A. Due to "Unfinished Business", we must Define what TRULY Matters"! The One WHO cares when a sparrow falls to the ground and numbers hair strands on the head of each person, is the One WHO sets the value of every living creature.. The Bible sets humans apart from animals, because humans alone bear the image of God. See Gen. 1:26-27 and 2:7. The Bible values life from the womb in Jer. 1:5 when God says, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you" and Psa. 139:13, "You formed my inward parts and wove me in my mother's womb" means that God recognizes and values individual human life from conception. Dr. Luke states in Luke 1:41 when Mary greeted Elizabeth, John ("brephos"-breathing infant) leaped in her womb”. The Creator with his breath in us, having given us a "spirit"...shows we have capabilities and moral value. Because we're all created for His purpose, we're responsible for actions valuing life from womb to the tomb! Jesus called little children to him and said "do not hinder them for kingdom of God belongs to such as these"!
