How to Reduce and Get Rid
of Dark Puffy Eyes
Puffy eyes are also the first indicator that you are dealing with stress. To decrease the stress, find ways to relax. Changing your diet by eating less salt helps to reduce fluid intake which can help as well. Other home remedies are cold cucumbers slices, sliced potatoes, egg whites and green tea bags. I have never heard of “chilled spoons”, however it is worth a try. You put two spoons in the refrigerator for a few minutes then lay down and place the spoons over your closed eyes. You leave the spoons on for ten minutes before the swelling is reduced.
Good old-fashion water helps the body overall. It helps flush the toxins out of the body that may cause swelling and inflammation. Try to stay hydrated throughout the day even if you must carry a water bottle around (I normally carry a water bottle myself). Women should have nine cups of water while man should have 13 cups of water. Other foods contain water such as fruits, vegetables and soups.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says, "Do you know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you received from God? You are not your own; you have been brought with a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies."
For years, I have tried to keep the puffy dark circles under my eyes under control with what I learned, but then I realized I had to do more research around this topic. One thing I found was that a lack of iron causes dark puffy eyes. So, for me, I have iron deficiency anemia at times and have to take irons pills and Iron dextran injections. The dark circles go away over time. However, that is not everyone’s case. I found home remedies that can help with dark puffy eyes besides using a make-up concealer. I always heard of putting a cold compress over your eyes for the puffiness to go down, getting enough sleep helps with puffy eyes, or sleeping on your back instead of your face relieves pressure on your face at night.
