will consecrate themselves to God and get their hands, feet, eyes, affections, body & soul, all sanctified, how the Holy Spirit will use such people. He will find pure channels to flow through… sanctified avenues for His power. You will never have an experience to measure with Acts 2:4, 16 & 17 until you get your personal Pentecost, the baptism with the Holy Spirit & fire.” You see, Holy Spirit power in us (I Cor. 13:7 says) releases a Love that… “bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” Godly Love seeks to find answers to things like: How can I support the person’s greatest hopes & dreams? How can I meet their needs today and help them overcome their greatest struggles & fears. So 3rdly see:
III. WHAT LOVE DOES (I Cor. 13:8 “love never fails”)
A. Love is Responsible to protect your marriage and home from enemies of love by putting on the armor & character of God. Your home and marriage has enemies that are conspiring to destroy your relationships unless you know how to ward them off! They will try to lure your heart away from your spouse or parents by feeding you unhealthy fantasies & unrealistic comparisons. You can’t love when you are relationally disconnected or are rarely there! You have to fight to keep your home & marriage and say NO to work that keeps you separated from your home for unhealthy amounts of time!
1. Men –are head of home safety & provisions. Jesus said in Matt. 24:43, “If the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he
would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into”. This role is yours! You are the one responsible before God to provide for needs and stand your ground against anything that would threaten your marriage or family. As Caleb was instructed by his dad in Fireproof Movie: “Watch out for parasites. A parasite is anything that latches onto you or your partner & sucks the life out of your marriage. They’re usually in form of addictions, like gambling, drugs, pornography or an affair. They promise pleasure but grow like a disease and consume more & more of your thoughts, time & money. Marriages rarely survive if parasites are present.” Men take seriously your providing and guarding responsibilities!
2. Women—set home atmosphere and child care. Prov. 14:1 says “The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish tears it down with her own hands.” An excellent wife Prov. 31 says “Strength and dignity are her clothing, she smiles at the future…she looks well to the ways of her household…her children rise up and bless her”. She decorates home in loving ways, prays over children & teaches them, cooks tasty meals, and set good spiritual atmosphere for all returning to the house.
3. Youth—have repeated command in the Bible to honor your parents (Ex. 20:12; Lev. 19:3; Matt. 15:4; Matt. 19:19; Mark 7:10; Luke 18:20; Eph. 6:-2-3). Don’t die a premature death by being rebellious to the authority God has placed over you. Keep your life pure, for God watches time wasted by Music that harms your Spirit, TV, Movies, Internet & magazine porno that excites ungodly passion, back seats of cars & bedrooms of unmarried, sinful conduct! God knows once our eyes are captured by curiosity, our hearts become entangled. Make up your mind that your entire body,
